Retro Breakfast

Tulum, located in the Quintana Roo state of Mexico, on the Caribbean coast, is the last place I had expected to find retro design, but I was proven very wrong. Hungry, and in need of a substanial breakfast, I discovered 'Teetotum' - a retro-hip boutique hotel and restaurant, located on Avenue Coba Sur on the outskirts of town. The bi-level restaurant and lounge is small, laid-back and artfully decorated - a refreshing change from the characterless beach-front cafes in town. I just loved this retro mural that emblazoned an entire wall of the restaurant - great eye candy whilst eating that breakfast bagel!
